Unique Artisanal Experience

This year, we launched the program - le krea, a unique experience dedicated to the art of French leather goods. This program invites you to discover and master this craft by working with leather, a noble material. The goal is simple: to offer everyone an enriching and rewarding experience. Seeing the satisfaction of the participants at the end of each workshop is our greatest reward. We bring together enthusiasts from all over the world to share this precious art of leather goods. Join us to explore this universe of traditions and passion.

I. Presentation of exceptional leathers

We will explain the process of sourcing high-end leathers, especially those used by French high-end leather goods brands, such as Taugo, Epson and crocodile leather. How to evaluate and choose the quality of different leathers, as well as their price positioning on the luxury market.

II. Maintenance and repair of luxury leather bags

The course will teach you how to care for leather goods on a daily basis to extend the life of the leather, including waterproofing treatments, moisturizing care and regular waxing. How to properly store leather goods to prevent aging and deformation due to prolonged non-use.

III. Demonstration of the steps of traditional manufacturing of leather goods

The demonstration highlights the difference between machine stitching, which is quick but less durable, and French saddle stitching, which uses two intertwined threads for added strength. Key steps include: Manual Claw: Ensures precise alignment of the holes, enhancing durability and aesthetics. Manual Edge Sanding: Requires precision and care to avoid damaging the leather, illustrating the attention to detail in French craftsmanship.

IV. Teaching the technique of Traditional French Manual Sewing

Teaching Hermès’ iconic hand-sewing saddle stitching technique, using a double-needle stitch to ensure high uniformity and aesthetics in every stitch. Explaining why Hermès is committed to using high-quality waxed threads, as well as the unique benefits of waxed threads in luxury leather goods, such as increased durability and resistance to wear.

V. TEACHING THE TRADITIONAL FRENCH EDGE FINISHING TECHNIQUE (POLISHER)

Edge finishing (polishing) is an important step in the manufacturing of luxury leather goods, influencing the overall appearance and durability of the finished product. Teaching how to perform edge finishing in accordance with the manufacturing standards of French luxury leather goods brands

VI. Custom Engraving

At the end of your course, you will be able to engrave your name or exclusive logo on the finished products, discovering the charm of personalization.
